As of 1 October 2019, some international visitors and transit passengers are required to obtain an NZeTA (New Zealand e-Travel Authority) before traveling to New Zealand.
The NZeTA is a new border security measure introduced by the New Zealand government on 1 October 2019. Some travellers who are eligible to travel to New Zealand without a visa are now required to have an NZeTA before entering New Zealand. Upon arrival in New Zealand, a traveller must still meet all existing entry requirements, such as: having a through ticket, a bona fide visitor, and good health.
The New Zealand visa for Singaporean citizens consists of an online application form which can be completed in less than five (5) minutes. Applicants must enter personal information, their contact details such as email and address, and information on the pages of their passport.
Once Singaporeans pay a fee to the New Zealand e-Travel Authority (NZeTA), the processing of their eTA application will begin. The New Zealand ETA is sent to Singapore citizens via email. If additional documentation is required, the applicant will be contacted prior to obtaining approval from the New Zealand e-Travel Authority (NZeTA) for Singaporean citizens.
While most NZeTA's are processed within 1 business day, travellers are advised to apply for a New Zealand eTA 3 business days before their intended departure date. Applicants will receive a confirmation email once the NZeTA has been approved. Permit related to passport.
