New Zealand eTA Eligibility For Taiwan Citizen
Nationals of Taiwan are required to apply for an NZeTA visa for short-term entry into New Zealand (less than 90 days) for general tourist, business, transit, or medical purposes. The eTA program was launched in 2019 to screen tourists arriving from overseas in response to a global spike in terrorist activity.
NZeTA program was approved to develop the systems needed to interact with existing immigration databases and other security data to provide the new, seamless verification tool. Nationals of Taiwan must complete this eTA application before boarding a flight to New Zealand. The NZETA e-Visa is suitable for many purposes such as leisure, personal, business and transit travel. The visa is not suitable for visiting a doctor or traveling to New Zealand for work.
New Zealand eTA for Taiwan nationals includes an online application form that can be filled out in less than five (5) minutes. Applicants must enter personal information, their contact details such as email and address, and information on the pages of their passports. The applicant must be in good health and have no criminal record. For more information, see the New Zealand eTA Application Form Guide.
Once Taiwanese citizens pay the fee to the New Zealand e-Travel Authority (NZeTA), the processing of their eTA application will begin. The New Zealand ETA is sent to Taiwanese citizens via email. If additional documentation is required, the applicant will be contacted before obtaining approval from the New Zealand e-Travel Authority (NZeTA) for Taiwanese nationals.
The procedure is as follows:
You have to fill in all the mandatory details along with uploading the documents. The application form must be filled out with extreme care. It is recommended to correct the application form before submitting it. Differences in forms may result in cancellation. After checking the documents, they will be sent to the authorized person via the email id given in the form.
You must meet the NZeTA requirements to apply for a New Zealand eTA for Taiwanese citizens:

The departure date of Taiwanese citizens must be within 3 months of arrival. Additionally, Taiwanese nationals can only enter the country with a New Zealand eTA for 6 months in any 12 months.
Taiwanese passport holders are required to apply for the New Zealand e-Travel Authority (NZeTA) even for short periods of 1 day to 90 days. If Taiwanese nationals intend to stay longer, they must apply for an appropriate visa depending on their circumstances.
When applying for a New Zealand visa for Taiwanese nationals, travelers can submit electronic or paper copies for presentation at the New Zealand border and immigration.
After you submit your NZeTA application, most applications take up to 1 business day to process. Travelers are advised to complete their application at least 3 working days before the departure date to allow enough time if they need to submit additional documents.
Once approved, the NZeTA is electronically linked to the applicant's passport, eliminating the need for a passport stamp at border control.
However, travellers are advised to print a copy of the New Zealand-approved eTA from Taiwan and present it to immigration officials upon arrival along with their passports.
Travelers with dual nationality must ensure that they are traveling with the same passport associated with their NZeTA.
